Let’s Go!

The LTD guide to your weekend Not sucking!
FRIDAY!
You just got off work, or maybe you just woke up, now run down to the deli/bodega/corner store get your 5pm pick-me-up and then GO OUTSIDE it’s FREAKING NICE YO!
And since it’s nice out, when we get done with our bagel/40 oz we like to hit the galleries. Here is a few we’d recommend.
Check out what’s new with the SVA Spring Salon, 214 E 21st St, btwn 2nd and 3rd, NYC from 6-8pm.
Or you can catch this craziness called Giantbum by Nathaniel Mellors at Lombard-Freid, 531 W 26th St, btwn 10th and 11th, NYC from 6-8pm.
If you are trying to appeal your sweetheart in an more intellectual fashion, I’d recommend Readings of poetry by Stephen Dunn at Barnes and Noble Tribeca, 97 Warren St at Greenwich St, Free, presented in conjunction with the bookfair to benefit Poets House.
If poetry isn’t your thing, and you want to catch some flicks before hitting the bars and clubs the screening of Thomas Torres Cordova’s “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” at City University, 365 5th Ave at 34th St, NYC at 7:30pm, it’s free.
If you wanna go a bit more high profile and not be a cheapskate check out the screening of Steve McQueen’s Hunger at SVA, 209 E 23rd St, btw 2nd and 3rd ave. at 7pm. It’s $7 and a nice Q&A follows. Steve McQueen is responsible for the design of many pieces of classic eye-wear in addition to being one of the world’s most renowned actors and directors. So it should be pretty amazing…
Not into the art thing? Just wanna par-tay? Hit this joint up… We are!

Don’t know which way is up after all that free booze?? Try this! We recommend Santos’ Party house to hang out with Vashtie and Q-Tip and the gang. Check the pics from last week it’s TAGL.
