Altered Luxury: Art Exhibit

This past Friday, we checked out the “Altered Luxury” exhibit opening at The Dactyl Foundation, conveniently located right around the corner from our office. Exhibit featured photos by Matt Salacuse, Robert Dimin, Justin Melnick that explores “Limited Raw Luxury,” a combination of luxury and street culture. You’ll recognize a lot of the visual aesthetic but each image has been remixed with a shot of street style. Mighty fine DJ Elle spun mighty fine beats while Curtains closed it out with a performance.

The exhibit runs at SoleFood NYC Gallery until 10.10.

Stop/Action Exhibit

The Stop/Action exhibit brings the experience of a fast motorcycle ride to people by suspending 11 Aprilia RSV 1000Rs and one Aprilia RSV4 in a three-dimensional ribbon running. Inspired by stills from a high speed film reel, the installation was conceived by Sam Strauss-Malcolm and Tyler Poniatowski. You really have to see it person though, pictures can’t properly convey the sight of 12 400lb motorcycles hanging above you, it feels like you’re inside of a line on a race track.

Stop/Action will be open to the public 2-7pm every day from October 2-11. 26×3 is located at 26 Broadway, Brooklyn, New York.

Made a quick stop at Rime 157 to see the big homie DJ Clark Kent and grab a pair of Gucci dunks. They did a raffle for a couple autograph pairs.
