Last night was the official opening of Eric Haze’s ‘New Abstracts and Icons’ exhibit. This was a special evening as it marked the first solo show for the legendary artist. The majority of the works are brand new, never seen before, and as you’ll see in the pictures, there was an incredible range of canvasses incorporating Haze’s unique brush techniques. There was a set of charcoals that really stood out, this is something we’ve never seen from Haze.

The Red Bull BC One was held Wednesday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom (NYC). The battle brought 16 of the best B-Boys from around the world and put them up against each other until the winner was crowned. This year Lilou, from Paris, took his second championship belt. KRS-One hosted the action and the audience was treated to a live performance by Talib Kweli. The legendary Rocksteady Crew came out and did a group performance, peep the video above. We have videos of the semi-final battles but unfortunately battery died so we only have half of the finals battle.
Overall, it was an incredible event, the venue was packed and energy was intense. It was great to see so much support, people traveled from all over the world, for the art of B-Boying, can’t believe how ill these dudes are now.

This winter, Timberland and Starks are making a killer collab right in the knick of time. Tims known for the iconic “Construction” boot, has decided that this time theyre going to try something a little different, which is where Starks comes in, and the outcome was a pretty casual 3-Eye Handsewn shoe. For this week’s installment we have an east coast/west coast battle between Annie Thao (Boston) and Chelsea aka Diznee (San Diego). Both have shared experiences in opposing corners, being that Diznee was gong to school in New York for a while before she went back to LA and Annie was born in Cali but raised in MA. Both models believe strongly in the mantra “Go Hard or Go Home” so on that note, let the battle begin.
