Eats #1: El Toro (San Francisco)
One of the new focuses for LTD, one of my favorite things at home and on the road, will be food. We’ll show some of our favorite spots, new openings and down low local joints to get your grub on.
The first up is El Toro in San Francisco. I have been going to this taqueria since i was a kid and is the only spot I always hit when i go to SF. The city is full of bomb Taqueria’s spots and i’m not saying this is the best just my favorite.
As soon as you walk in you’re met with the aroma of the grill. The menu is a little daunting at first, especially for a taqueria, but once you know it it’s on and poppin. They have everything you can think of from the traditional carne asadas and carnitas to beef tongue, tofu ranchero and soy bean cake. My go to is the Steak and Prawn burrito and you gotta go Super to get all of the fillings. It’s a lot but oooooh so good.
Info and pics below. Check them out if you’re ever in SF, you won’t be disappointed.
