The Tennis Classic has always been one of Hiroshi Fujiwara’s favorite Nike shoes. In Holiday 2008 he brought in the low-key vintage interpretation; Nike Tennis Classic Pack in suede featured in four different solid colors. Last summer, Hiroshi worked with Japanese brand uniform experiment (developed by Hiroshi and Hirofumi Kiyonaga from SOPHNET) on two versions of Air Zoom Tennis Classic.
For spring 2010, Hiroshi picked white upper with slightly shiny leather, mixed with gold foil accents on the heel and tongue. As we have seen in previous seasons, the shoe continues to play with subtlety and minimalism. The Swoosh design trademark is perforated on the side of the shoe, and the fragment design logo, a Hiroshi trademark used only for Nike project collaborations, quietly placed on the back heel.

Mind. Body. Soul. is being held January 20th at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. The Heavy Sound, a music collective consisting of world-class artists, celebrity DJs and musicians, will be presenting a night of music to raise awareness of diabetes. Actor Michael Rapaport will host the event alongside Malik Isaac Taylor, better known as Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest. As a diabetic, Phife recently received a long-awaited kidney transplant and this event will mark his first appearance in New York City since the surgery. An amazing lineup will take to the stage for special performances including Ghostface Killah, Jay Electronica, Consequence, Talib Kweli and more. D-Lyfe, who has worked with artists such as Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson & Notorious B.I.G., is set to DJ throughout the evening. Expect surprise appearances both onstage and in the DJ booth. This year at the NAIAS, the 2011 Mustang GT is set to make its hip-hop debut alongside Grammy Award-winning artist Nelly as part of his upcoming album’s artwork. The exterior appearance of the enhanced vehicle benefits from a custom gloss black paint job with flat black racing stripes and a Street Scenes body kit backed by a set of custom 22- and 24-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. The vehicle also features a billet grille, hood scoop, tinted taillights, angel eyes headlights and a Borla exhaust. In addition to the new outer vision, the interior of the redesigned Mustang GT packs a complete suede and leather design with a custom JL Audio system that includes two 12-inch subwoofers, amps and speakers. San Francisco based True unveils the Native Leagues Project: a tribute to the rich legacy of the Bay Area’s sports teams. Hirokazu Sato, head taste maker at True conceptualized a project that features some of streetwear’s finest to celebrate the regions greatest teams. The Native Leagues Project will release one design per month, each month featuring a different company putting their twist on the concept. First up, The Hundreds tribute to the Silver and Black. The Silver color of the tee will be exclusively available from True, True East & online at trueclothing.net on Friday, January 15th.
