Coming straight from the innovative thinkers of Nike Japan, Nike has turned it up in a creative commercial promoting their new upcoming athletic shoe. The commercial combines the rhythm within the shoes hooked up to a DJ table, blasting the coolest melodies of beats and scratches, how dope is that? Even though the shoes don’t really make killer beats that will be the next “Grindin” by Clipse hit in “real life”, the commercial just shows the importance of sneakers to the imagination. Take a look, and enjoy.

Right on the heels of their Timberland release, 10.Deep is back at it, this time with adidas. The “Raw Dogs” are a Stan Smith mid, the name comes directly from the rawhide leather laces and huge monster mouth print on the insole/inner shoe that accent the premium suede, Iron and Chrome gray upper. In addition to the rustic look of the leather laces, the shoes also come with an iron gray, and black sets of laces. On the outsides of the shoes the look retains the classic three perforated stripes that characterized the original shoe, but on the inner sides of each shoe, we used the same perforated motif to mark out our logo in grand but subtle fashion.
This collab falls under the Adidas Consortium wing, The “Raw Dogs” project has been produced in extremely limited numbers and will be available through adidas’ Consortium stores as well as online at 10 Deep starting Thursday, April 15th at 12pm, Brooklyn time.

The folks over at Emerica have made a video, in celebration of Ed Templeton’s biggest art show to date, ‘The Cemetery of Reason,’ which is being held at the famous S.M.A.K. in Ghent, Belgium. The S.M.A.K. gallery is set up with Templeton’s photos, paintings, and sculptures that he’s done over the past 15 years. Ed Templeton’s ‘The Cemetery of Reason’ is an exhibition that tells “the story of a pro skateboarder, a photographer, a draftsman, a painter, etc. A story which, although it focuses on his own life and those of the people around him, transcends the autobiographical and exposes social and societal phenomena unhesitatingly but without pointing a finger.”
Here’s the video of Ed Templeton, filmed by Emerica, during the installation of the show and during the opening night of the exhibition on April 2nd. The show will continue on until June 13, 2010.

The politically minded clothing brand, Carrot Clothing, and the Japanese/American brand, X-LARGE, have come together to do a collabo tee with the heavy statement of ‘F**K WAR’ in accordance with the “10 years since we’ve gone to war, than in prison as political prisoners and finally set free..” On the tee is a graphic of X-Large’s mascot ape beast literally delivering some boneage to the letters WAR dressed in a wig and high heels grasping a wad of cash in it’s lipsticked mouth. How’s that for a metaphor? The tee is available now at Digital Gravel and at the online store over at Carrot Clothing.
