The folks over at Mountain Dew reached out and got (now Roc Nation artist) Jay Electronica to spit his “Announcement” verse for the “Hip Hop is Different on the Mountain” campaign. Keep a lookout to see what Mountain Dew has coming up next !
Our neighbors (now on both coasts) over at Black Scale continue to hit us with more dope goods. They’re starting the new year off on the right foot (pun intended) with the release of the Wingtip shoe collection. Very clean! Drag yourself out the bed, cure that new years hangover, and get over to your respective SF or NYC Store to pick up your pair January 1st!
Here’s a dope video the folks over at Hypebeast put together to recap The Hundreds collaborative project with Jim Davis. From the “Pop Up Shop” to the Art Gallery, back to the actual threads, boards, and glassware, this was a very well executed project.

Mannie got on stage a little before 1am and the energy quickly started to rise. Drake being in the building definitely added to that and heat went all the way up in the jam packed venue. Don’t be the one outside next year!
Last Friday, December 17th, LTD Magazine and Fool’s Gold teamed for our 2nd annual Holiday Party in NYC at new spot Tammany Hall in the LES. This has to be one of the best times I’ve had in a long time, the DJ’s and music was great and had the crowd (those lucky enough to get in as the line was around the block) going HAM all night long. Manni Fresh went in on his classic material and Just Blaze, well, he did his thing as always. We had a special appearance by the Canadian homie Drake who made sure the partygoers stayed hype. Thanks to Bushmills (photo booth), Scion and Tammany Hall for hooking us up. See you next year!
We’ll be posting some more pics and hopefully videos so stay tuned but for now enjoy this photo set by Brook Bobbins.
A few days ago, we took a quick trip across the BK Bridge down to Powerhouse Books for the signing of Spike Lee’s new book “Do The Right Thing”. We’re all aware of the movie and how much of an impact/reflection it is on our culture; the book is just that as well. Full color pages of behind-the-scenes pics, scripts (hand written by Spike himself) as well as full explanation of the many hidden messages we may or may not have noticed during the classic film, had some of us setting up shop on the stairs & floors in Powerhouse right after our purchase to check out what we’ve been waiting for.

Last night Artful Dodger celebrated the release of their new line of apparel in conjunction with Just C’s birthday party at Vault, an apparel and footwear boutique in Harlem. The band Apollo Heights performed “White music for Black people” to a capacity crowd. Afterwards, music was provided for the rest of the nightcap by the good folks at East Village Radio with beverages flowing thanks to Ciroc and Palm Beer. The Artful Dodger definitely put together a solid event, salute.
