You saw the new Pro Combat uniform, crazy! Of course Nike wouldn’t leave you without premium footwear to go with it. Meet the Air Zoom Alpha Talon the most advanced cleat ever. It’s made to support the “normal” size cornerback up to the massive lineman. The interior cleats extend depending on the pressure your weight puts on them to give you extra traction.
Doubt any of you are going to be in professional sports but you can all look and feel like one rocking these and some Pro Combat gear.

The interior cleats in the forefoot extend when full pressure is applied for more traction when needed and retract when not.

Summer '08

The boy CurT@!n$ didn’t kill this, he assassinated this. The homies over at LA Leakers teamed up with the Brooklyn native to put out what we have called “#Killer Tape.” “Dope Boy” came through in full jack mode borrowing some of our favorite instrumentals and completely abusing them. Good Stuff, click the artwork to download.

The redesigned Nike Pro Combat uniforms deliver the ultimate in breathable protection and flexibility for superior speed. Nike designers flipped the script with the approach and pretty much thought about every detail that athletes encounter on field.
The new design regulates the athletes heat with Nike Pro Deflex padding which features two-way airflow to cool the body and wick away sweat. The jerseys are made of four-way stretch woven twill that sheds moisture, even the numbers are stretch fabric. A Flywire collar eliminates two layers of fabric for improved breathability, providing a more stable anchor to keep the jersey in place.
Three elite football programs will debut the 2011 Nike Pro Combat System of Dress during bowl games including:
- Boise State Broncos: Las Vegas, December 22, 2010
- Florida Gators: Tampa Bay, January 1, 2011
- Oregon Ducks: Phoenix, Arizona, January 10, 2011

Events, Product

Yesterday, Nike had an amazing event in Arlington, TX at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium where they unveiled their future of Football. The day started by bringing us onto the field through the Players entrance. The first thing you see is the ginormous $40 million HD screen, you HAVE to see it in person, sick! After letting us walk around the field we were led, by a local High School marching band, to the presentation area.
NFL analyst and former player Desmond Howard hit the stage to introduce Nike VP Kris Aman who quickly took us through the Pro Combat approach and commitment to innovation and performance. The System of Dress and the three pillars: Train, Perform and Express and how Nike thinks through every detail of an athletes life on and off the field.
You can see how any athlete could feel that much more confident and inspired utilizing this Pro Combat equipment, from Pee-Wee’s to elite NFL players. Three 2011 collegiate football uniforms will make their debut during upcoming bowl games, stay tuned for more info.

Auto, Fall 2010, Video

Lexus tapped Hawaii Mike to test drive the 2011 CT200h hybrid vehicle. Test driving an automobile in New York City is comparable to seeing how slow the car can go, but we managed to challenge the horse power and go…the speed limit West Side Highway before being greeted with the always friendly influx of traffic. Anyways, the CT200h has a front wheel drive, a 1.8 liter-in-line-4 with continuously Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) engine with 134hp, and goes from 0-60mph in 9.8 seconds.
Watch as we make a stop by Baohaus and chill with Chairman Bao himself, Eddie Huang, to discuss dirty couches, food, and more!
Also, make sure to check out Tamara Palmer’s interview with Eddie at Baohaus over a new-age East vs. West coast restaurant beef here.

Holiday 2010
Converse hosted a party celebrating the grand opening of its first retail store in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood last week. Despite the cold weather, it was VERY well worth it to make it inside. The staff was friendly, the drinking were flowing, and the music was bumping! Some of our favorite musicians, athletes, actor/actresses, models, designers and directors were in attendance including Dr J (and he dances better than 90% of the people in attendance!) , Jim Jones, C.J Spiller, Gabourey Sidibe, Cory Kennedy, Dominique Piek , AndrewAndrew , Theophilus London , Lupe Fiasco , Susan Smith Ellis, Q-Tip , Genevieve Jones , Le Call, John Varvatos and many, many more! Check out the visuals.
Special to the Converse team for providing a few other pics that we may have missed.
