Reebok Classics and Rock The Bells bring you the exclusive: Classic Albums by Classic Artists featuring Freddie Gibbs. Freddie Gibbs is signed to Young Jeezy’s CTE label and has joined up with Chip the Ripper, along with Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks of The Cool Kids to create P.O.C. He released the LP Str8 Killa in 2010 and was recently on the Rock the Bells 2011 tour. Reebok Classics and Rock the Bells sat down with Freddie to discuss his favorite classic albums like Erykah Badu’s Baduism and NAS’s Illmatic along with what he wants people to feel when they listen to his music.
This is probably long overdue, but glad that it’s done. Complex Magazine took a trip to LTD’s founder “Hawaii” Mike’s crib to check out his Top 25 sneakers….that he owns….and wears. While many people have their “favorite” kicks; many cases may prove that they may not actually own them.

TO KICK OFF SEPTEMBER 2011 FASHION WEEK, KEVIN “SAER” LEONG PRESENTS HIS SPRING / SUMMER 2012 COLLECTION WITH A DEBUT FASHION SHOW AT THE SAMSUNG EXPERIENCE
On the evening of Wednesday September 7th, the first night of Mercedes –Benz Fashion Week, Kevin “SAER” Leong presented an interactive and technology enhanced fashion presentation of his private label collection - Origami. His debut fashion show took place at the Samsung Experience in the Time Warner Center adjacent to the Lincoln Center Tents. Throughout the evening, Bravo Media, the animation studio known for producing the first ever 3-D fashion show at fashion week, provided interactive technology enhancements ranging from projection mapping to augmented reality integration.
Inspired by Chinese culture and the ancient art of paper folding, the Origami Spring / Summer 2012 collection features unisex pieces using DuPont™ Tyvek® technical recyclable fabrications and shredded U.S currency as insulation. On each piece of Origami, an iconic origami fold made of recyclable Tyvek® distinguishes it from other contemporary brands, while shredded money acts as insulation for stand out pieces like the “Origami Money Vest” – filled with approximately $1,000 worth of U.S. currency.
Walking down the green runway provided by DuPont™ ForeverLawn® Select Synthetic Grass, were A-list female models such as Jaslene Gonzalez (America’s Next Top Model Winner) and Flaviana Matata (former Miss Tanzania), styled in gender bending menswear looks. Highlights include the custom Origami jewelry made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, an Origami crystal-encrusted Samsung Galaxy Tab case, Converse sneakers provided by Jack Purcell and watches donated by G-Shock. Make-up was provided by Janell Geason for Aveda.
The Origami fashion show transformed the Samsung Experience into an interactive showcase for a fashion show, an engaging approach for product sampling and innovative way to present art. Notables who attended to celebrate Leong’s debut are: Selita Ebanks, DJ Cassidy, Andre Harrell and Russell Simmons.
