Ever wanted to take advantage of your shiny new iPhone 4’s HD video capabilities without having to go through the hassle of uploading the clips to your computer? Well fret not! Vimeo has recently released a free alternative to Apple’s $5 iMovie application. It allows you to view existing Vimeo videos, of which mobile Safari cannot support, and allows you to shoot, edit, and upload your newly created films. Also, the application gives you options with regards to the quality the video is uploaded, which means you won’t have to settle with the horrible quality of compressed movies

[TECH] Apple Reveals iPad 2
A few hours ago, Apple revealed the next generation iPad to the world at their media event in California. Coupled with this unveiling also comes their latest iOS 4.3. The new iPad 2 is 33 percent thinner, weighs percent less, and still has the same 9.7 inch blacklit LCD screen. Sounds like a runway model after dieting, same face with less hips and body fat. What has been drawing a lot of attention, though, are the dual cameras, one on each side of the iPad, that helps users utilize the FaceTime call feature and definitely helps with sharing photos.

iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available on March 11 for a suggested retail price of $499 (US) for the 16GB model, $599 (US) for the 32GB model, $699 (US) for the 64GB model. iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G will be available for a suggested retail price of $629 (US) for the 16GB model, $729 (US) for the 32GB model and $829 (US) for the 64GB model. iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G compatible with the Verizon network will be available in the US only for a suggested retail price of $629 (US) for the 16GB model, $729 (US) for the 32GB model and $829 (US) for the 64GB model. iPad 2 will be sold in the US through the Apple Store® (www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. iMovie and GarageBand for iPad apps will be available on March 11 for $4.99 each from the App Store on iPad or www.itunes.com/appstore.
[TECH] Mac App Store Up and Running
Apple has just unveiled its latest and maybe most influential software update in recent history. The Cupertino company has taken the ease and elegance of the mobile app store that has seen unprecedented success over the years and adapted it for Mac users. The store works in a virtually identical manner to the mobile App Store as you can purchase apps via your iTunes account. The other great thing about it is that no longer do you have to purchase bundles like iWork or iLife if you want specific apps. Programs like Garage Band, iPhoto and Keynote are now offered á la carte starting as low as $14.99. Head over to Apple to download and try it out.

This has been the talk of the net for sometime now and the wait is over. Steve jobs announces and shows of the new apple iPad at the ‘Latest Creation” event in San Francisco. Apple drops new iPod Nano (video) and Shuffle
Apple just made some announcements for new releases yesterday. Two that stuck out to us are the stainless steel iPod shuffle and the iPod Nano video. The stainless shuffle is $99 4GB and is a apple online store exclusive. The new Nano, which now records video and has a 2.2″ screen, has a 8GB model for $149 and a 16GB model for $179 and comes in 8 different colors. Both are now available.
