Reminisce: “Inner City Griots” Freestyle Fellowship
I read a review for this Freestyle Fellowship’s Innercity Griots in The Source when I was in high school (remember having to look up “griots” in the dictionary). And even though I hadn’t heard a single song from them, I ordered the tape from the local college record store. It was unlike any other hip hop I’d ever heard. It still is. - HK
