[VIDEO] Krink x G-shock “Spray Paint the Walls”

On Friday April 8th, G-Shock & Krink celebrated their recent partnership with a unique exhibition of Craig Costello’s work “Spray Paint the Walls” Check out this video they put together below.

More info:

The signature Krink G-Shock watch, the DW6900KR-8, was on display alongside Costello’s artwork, an abstraction inspired by his history of working with urban environments and architecture. Costello sprayed gallons of paint onto the walls filling the white space with bold color from the ceiling to the floor, the diluted-paint dripping down in vertical lines forming a pattern. The color and shapes have an organic feel that contrast with the hard lines and shapes of the urban environment. Other walls featured small framed monochrome drawings created using Krink on paper and displayed a vibrant range of color.

[GEAR] KRINK x G-Shock

G-Shock has teamed up with on of the illest Mr. Craig Costello a/k/a KR a/k/a the brains behind KRINK. In line with Krink’s minimalist design aesthetic, the DW-6900KR-8 has a metallic matte silver finish (Casio pulled it out of it’s library especially for KR) and for the first time in G-Shock history, the watch will bare a full mirror face (sick!) and LCD display. They omitted all technical type from the inner ring on the face of the watch, making this piece the cleanest look G-Shock has ever produced.

From Press release:
“The new DW6900KR-8 watch is the epicenter of where art, fashion, and functionality intersect” said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “The G-Shock x Krink collaboration allows our consumers the opportunity to indulge in aesthetically pleasing watches without compromising the G-Shock functionality.”

“Here at Krink, quality should never be compromised and is always worth the extra cost and effort” said Craig Costello a.k.a. Krink. “Casio mirrors the same philosophy regarding their G-Shock line of watches and it’s been a pleasure working with them on a solid product. G-Shock took the extra time to find the right finishes and subtle details that compliment this piece.”

Available mid-April at Bloomingdale’s, Barney’s Co-Op, Union LA, MOCA, and online at karmaloop.com and in Europe at Colette.

The Krink Tom Sachs Marker Set.

Limited to 100 pieces. Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
Highest quality. Handmade in the USA.

We worked closely with Tom to create markers that suited specific needs for his work. Tom uses a lot of different markers in his work and he has strict standards related to flow, durability, and archival quality. He tested a wide variety of Krink products and we formulated inks to meet his specs. The K-12 rollerball is a brand new marker tip that Tom is really excited about, It’s unique to the market, and is a Krink / Tom Sachs exclusive. We also formulated a new red “Slow Drip Formula” for our K-66 marker meeting Tom’s specific specs. Perfect for NASA logos on any surface. We also have a new barrel design and over cap for the Krink K-70. Tom liked the ink and flow properties so much that he felt no change was needed for this Krink classic.

To complete the set, Tom created a custom “Dock” to hold the markers, taking his trademark “Police Line Do Not Cross” wood and drilling out custom holes for each of the markers to sit in. Each base is equipped with rubber feet, signed on the front, and numbered on the bottom.
