Fast Company dropped their 50 Most Innovative Companies list. Coming in at #28 is Opening Ceremony, ahead of huge companies like IBM, PepsiCo and Microsoft to name a few (i’m sure people will be complaining but it’s just a list people) “For building a global brand that still feels exclusive.” Congrats to the OC team, keep doing it.

Levi’s® and Opening Ceremony are set to launch their third collaborative project this month entitled “Levi’s® Chambray by Opening Ceremony”. The duo aimed to create a hybrid of “youthful energy and playful spirit”. The collection includes eight total silhouettes, with four pieces for both men and women. Retail ranges from $175 to $300 and will be available for purchase at Levi’s® and Opening Ceremony stores along with their digital storefronts: Levi.com & OpeningCeremony.com.

Levi’s® announces “Levi’s® Sherpa-Lined Trucker Jacket by Opening Ceremony”, one in a series of special edition Made in the USA Trucker Jackets for Fall 2010
This fall, Levi’s® has collaborated with 5 brands to create a series of special edition Levi’s® Work Wear Trucker Jackets, all hand-crafted in the USA. Whether they integrate a signature work wear technology like Filson’s oiled tin cloth, or pay tribute to the distinct aesthetic of a group of American workers, each jacket explores the endless potential of Levi’s® iconic garment through the lens of the respective partnering brand.
Thus far this season, we have unveiled truckers from this series, designed in partnership with Filson and Billy Reid.
The latest, arriving in-stores now, is the launch of a new work wear-inspired trucker jacket designed in collaboration with downtown New York’s leading fashion boutique Opening Ceremony. The Trucker features a patchwork of rigid denims as well as a traditional work wear fabric: the railroad stripe. The inclusion of sherpa into the jacket makes it perfect for cold weather and serves as a nod to the ranchers that popularized the Trucker jacket throughout the last century. This jacket is shrunken down and fits short and snugly. It comes in both a men’s and women’s version and is accompanied by a matching unisex 505 in the customized Opening Ceremony fit.
The Levi’s® Sherpa Lined Trucker Jacket and Railroad Striped 505 by Opening Ceremony will be available this week at Opening Ceremony stores and better boutiques worldwide as well as on Levi.com in the US.
The jacket will retail for $300.00 and the 505 jeans will retail for $210.00.

VBS.tv just released a new series titled Spend Saturdays with Spike (Jonze) and for the first episode they featured an interview with Opening Ceremony. The always fashionable feature-film director Spike Jonze sat down recently with the owners of Opening Ceremony, one our favorite places for interesting finery and fancy accoutrements. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the boutique’s owners, tell Spike all about their start, their surging and much-deserved popularity, and also their co-productions with various famous and soon-to-be-famous designers. They also dish on their plans for expansion and offer up a first-hand look at all the wonderful sorts who danced along to sets by Dirty Projectors and DJ Solange Knowles at the opening party for their newest outpost in NYC’s ACE Hotel.

Following up on the release of their corduroy collection, Levi’s® and Opening Ceremony just dropped a unisex boot to accent the capsule. The boots are exclusively being sold at the San Francisco Levi’s flagship store (where they have a Levi’s® Cords by Opening Ceremony pop up shop) and the Opening Ceremony store on Howard Street in NYC and retail for $300.00.
