Keystone Design Union x Hennessy Present: Blending of Art

New York City based Design and Communication Agency, Keystone has linked up with heritage brand Hennessy to launch the global campaign titled “Blending of Art”. The project takes 5 avante garde musical artists: Questlove, Q-Tip, Kid Sister, Steve Aoki, and DJ A-Trak and pairs them with 5 innovative visual artists: Aerosyn-Lex, Spaceknuckle, Laundry, Fafi, and Dust La Rock to produce special edition labels for bottles of Hennessy V.S (Very Special). Blending Of Art is the culmination of the idea that all artists communicate in the same creative language which transcends the barriers of any chosen medium. Enjoy pictures of the bottles below. A Tribe Called Quest live @ Knitting Factory 1/20/10

Last was Mind Body Soul @ Knitting Factory BK, a benefit to raise awareness for diabetes in honor of Phife Dawg. Guests were treated a ton of surprised performances from KRS-One, Greg Nice, Dres plus the scheduled Talib Kweli, Consequence and Jay Electronica. One of the biggest surprises was A Tribe Called Quest. In this video they perform classics Oh My God and Award Tour.

Q-Tip Presents: “Long Live the King! A Birthday Celebration for Michael Jackson”

On Saturday, August 29, 2009 – what would have been Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday – Grammy award-winning, hip-hop icon Q-Tip presents “Long Live the King! A Birthday Celebration for Michael Jackson” at the NOKIA Theatre Times Square. Q-Tip will be joined in the DJ booth by special invited guests Grammy award-winning producer/artist Mark Ronson and the legendary DJ Spinna.

“Michael Jackson was a huge influence on my music and was an inspiration to me and so many others. I want to bring people together to celebrate the man, his music and his legacy that will undoubtedly live on forever!” states Q-Tip.
