Volkswagen just announced the redeveloped Touareg, the most technically innovative “VW” since the brand has been in existence. The Touareg will be the first and only off-roader in Europe by a German car maker to be available in a hybrid version too. The 2011 models will be offered in a Hybrid, which can be driven up to 50 km/h (31MPH) in purely electric mode - emissions-free, and diesel engine like the Touareg V6 TDI with 7.4L combined fuel consumption now posts the best value in the segment of genuine SUVs.

The new 2011 Toureag will be available this year, no price released as of yet.
